Spearpoint 1943 Preorders

La Collins Epic Wargames ha aperto i preordini per Spearpoint 1943, un veloce cardgame che permetterà di riprodurre scontri della Seconda Guerra Mondiale a livello di squadra e singolo tank in rapide partite della durata di 30-40 minuti. Collins Epic Wargames has finally opened the preorders for Spearpoint 1943, a fast cardgame that will allow you to replay fast WWII battles at squad infantry / single tank level that will take only 30-40 minutes. The game, part of the Frontline General series already introduced by the demo game “Italian Campaign Introduction”, will be available with a 20% discount on the final price of 29.95$ only for the ones that will preorder now from the  ufficial webpage.

Victrix 54mm British Napoleonic – English

Victrix has just announced the upcoming release of the first box in their new 54mm (1/32) plastic Napoleonic Miniatures. The first set is the “54mm British Napoleonic Peninsular Infantry Flank Companies” and it will contain 16 miniatures fully customizable for just 19,95 pounds. As said each miniature will come with a body and a set of heads, arms (with various equipment) and backpack, this will allow various combinations of pose and characters (like officers, drummers, sergeants and linemen).

Victrix has also announced that after the first box a special accessories set will be released to expand the possibilities of the first box customizations.

Victrix 54mm British Napoleonic – Italiano

La Victrix ha annunciato l’imminente uscita di un primo box di miniature in plastica in scala 1/32 (54mm) dedicate al periodo Napoleonico. Il primo set è il “54mm British Napoleonic Peninsular Infantry Flank Companies” e conterrà ben 16 miniature completamente e liberamente assemblabili al prezzo di 19,95 sterline. Come detto quindi ogni pezzo sarà composto da busto braccia (con differenti pose e armamenti) zaino e testa e permetterà di realizzare ufficiali, tamburini, sergenti e uomini di linea.

La Victrix ha già previsto come prossima uscita per novembre un set di accessori complementare al primo box.

Nuts! Released

E’ disponibile (come sempre in formato cartaceo e in pdf) la seconda edizione di Nuts!, il regolamento della Two Hour Wargames dedicato alla Seconda Guerra Mondiale. La nuova edizione allineata alle ultime revisioni del Reaction System della THW è il primo di una serie di volumi (gratuiti e a pagamento) che andrà a coprire tutta la durata del conflitto, tutti gli eserciti e tutti gli scenari di guerra. Nel volume base saranno disponibili tutte le informazioni relative al ‘44. Altra interessante novità di questa nuova edizione riguarda il gioco in solitario, studiato non solo per il singolo giocatore ma anche per permettere a più giocatori di giocare assieme contro il sistema. E’ presente anche un sistema di campagna interattivo che muta lo svolgersi delle missioni a seconda dei risultati delle battaglie.

It’s finally available (as usual in both printed and pdf formats) the second edition of Nuts!, the ruleset from Two Hour Wargames based on the WW2. The new edition rules are alligned to the latest revision of the Reaction System by THW and it’s the first book of a serie that will cover all the years of war, all the armies and scenarios of the conflict. In the base ruleset will be available the info about the ‘44. Other interesting feature is the solo game that will cover not only the single player games but also the possibility for more players to fight together against the rule system. It’s also available a campaign system that will change reflecting the results of the battles played.

Perry Miniatures Plastics – 30 Years War

In aggiunta alla French Heavy Cavalry e agli Hussars in arrivo per la serie in plastica dedicata al periodo Napoleonico, i Perry Bros hanno pubblicato una piccola preview del set in arrivo per natale relativo alla War of the Roses. Il set sarà composto da tutto il materiale necessario per 40 miniature (28mm) di Bills and Bowmen con la possibilità di variare la composizione per avere un massimo di 40 Bowmen o un massimo di 18 Billmen. Ovviamente il tutto correlato dalle figure di comando ed una serie extra di braccia armi per creare le proprie pose personalizzate. Il set verrà ovviamente affiancato da una serie in metallo.

The set will include the necessary for 40 plastic 28mm miniatures and will allow you to vary the composition to make up to 40 Bowmen and up to 18 Billmen. The box will also include the command figures and a lot of extra weapons and arms for personal poses. As usual the set will be expanded by a range of metal miniatures.

Recensione – Perry Miniatures ACW Plastic Infantry

Anche la Perry Miniatures entra nel ristretto ma promettente gruppo di produttori che hanno deciso di realizzare finalmente anche per il wargaming storico dei set di miniature in plastica rigida. Ringraziando i Fratelli Perry per il supporto e per il materiale fornitoci, eccoci pronti a recensire il primo box prodotto dalla Perry Miniatures “ACW Infantry”.

Sharp Practice preorders

L’ultimo lavoro dei Toofatlardies è pronto ad essere rilasciato e sarà disponibile in anteprima all’International Napoleonic Fair il giorno 11 Maggio prossimo. Per tutti gli altri sono già aperti i preordini che saranno evasi a partire dal 12 Maggio. Per chi non avesse seguito il gruppo yahoo e le info relative, ricordo che Sharp Practice è un regolamento skirmish su larga scala per scontri tra gruppi di 30-120 miniature ideato principalmente per il periodo Napoleonico ma adatto a tutti gli scontri che vanno dal 1750 al 1860. Come sempre il regolamento sarà disponibile in formato cartaceo ed in pdf, ma come offerta speciale i primi 250 volumi cartacei ordinati riceveranno in omaggio due miniature speciali in 28mm scolpite da Richard Ansell e raffiguranti un ufficiale del 95th fucilieri ed il suo sergente.

The latest work from Toofatlardies is ready for its release and will be available as a preview at the International Napoleonic Fair on May 11th. For all the others preorders are already open and the distribution will start the next day. For the ones of you that didn’t follow the development on the toofatlardies yahoo group, Sharp Practice is a skirmish ruleset for big numbers of miniatures (from 30 to 120) created mainly for Napoleonic Wars but with specific rules that allows to play any period between 1750 and 1860. As usual the book will be available in both printed and pdf format, but as a special offer the first 250 printed book ordered will receive two special 28mm miniatures sculpted by Richard Ansell and representing an officier of the 95th rifle and his sergeant.
